This Privacy Policy explains how Aadhaar FastScan ("the App") handles information when you use the App on your Android or iOS device. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information the App Processes

When you scan an Aadhaar QR code, the App may decode and temporarily display the following fields — which are already embedded inside the QR code:

• Full name
• Date of birth or year of birth
• Gender
• Residential address (house, street, landmark, locality, district, state, pincode)
• Masked Aadhaar number (only the last 4 digits are shown by default)
• Care-of information (if present in the QR)
• Hashed mobile or email indicator (a one-way hash — the original number is not recoverable)

This information is displayed on-screen only during your active session. The App does not write this data to storage and does not transmit it anywhere.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

• No account registration or login is required or used
• No personal data is uploaded to our servers or any third-party service
• No analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs are integrated
• No scan history is saved on your device
• No internet connection is required or used for any core functionality

4. Device Permissions

Camera
Used solely to scan QR codes in real time through the camera viewfinder. Camera frames are processed on-device and are never saved or transmitted by the App.

Photo Library / Media Storage
Used only when you explicitly choose "Scan from Gallery" to select an image already on your device. The selected image is processed locally and is not stored or transmitted by the App.

5. Data Retention

Decoded information is held in memory only while the result screen is open. When you navigate away, close the App, or start a new scan, no previously displayed information is retained. The App does not create any persistent scan history.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly process personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App to scan sensitive information, please contact us so we can provide guidance.

7. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs that collect personal data, including but not limited to advertising networks, analytics platforms, or crash-reporting tools. QR code decoding is performed entirely by code running on your device.

8. Security

Because the App does not transmit or store personal data, the risk of a data breach from our side is minimal. Scanned information exists only in your device's volatile memory for the duration of your session.

9. Disclaimer

Aadhaar FastScan is an independent utility application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, certified by, or operated by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) or the Government of India. The App is provided "as is" for informational convenience only.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
